Desert Flora

Matt went to the golf course this morning and had a great round.  I stayed behind and took a good long walk and enjoyed the sunshine.  It is back today and will be fine when the kids come on Thursday, but perhaps not terribly warm by desert standards..  It is next week that we are getting a hot streak...temps 75-76 degrees.  That seems more like it.

Matt is back at the place that "fixed" our car's air-conditioning.  It worked for about 5 minutes.  They now say that there is leak and that is what they are attending to at the moment.  This sounds like more money to me.

Tonight we are going to have dinner with 3 other couples at the Boschman's.  Matt knows them from Sudden Vallley, but I am unfamiliar with any of them.  Always fun to meet new folks.

I am attaching a couple of photos that I took this afternoon on my walk.  Part of the walk is right along the golf course.  It is a very pleasant place to walk.

The upper unit you see here is ours.

Lots of poppies around here!

  1. I am sure anxious to hear how you are feeling...no mention of your "tribulation" in this blog so I am hoping this means you are on the mend. Any plan to see a urologist down there any way? and how is Matt after his fall...golfing today so he must be ok. Your walk to day looked beautiful. I am glad the sun came back. Hope it stays for your family like the weather man says it might!!
Went to see the Smothers Brothers Sun. and saw the Webbs, Jen Noyes and Mitch and other friends of Corey's and mine. It was a fabulous show. They are in their seventies but perform just like they always do...very funny. Then last night was Stitch and Bitch at Laurie Phelan's and there were 5 of us very cozy in her little family room...darling house. Penny, Corey, Kris, myself and Laurie. And the old dog, Buddy. It felt good to pet a big old dog again. Everyone is doing real well. The conversations were great, as was the from-scratch chocolate cream pie. March S&B is here in Birch Bay and Jen Noyes is coming with a really hard project that she has been stuck on FOREVER!! She is very excited about getting the help.
So you hear from the Vose's? Did the wedding go alright? When will they be back?
Susan, Vicki and I are celebrating Susan's birthday next week with a Tuesday lunch at the place that use to be the Greyhound depot. We sure will miss you.
Jeff passed his exams so he got his certification and is ready for work. Interviewed as one of two finalists for the Squalicum head football coach job but hasn't heard who was chosen yet. Kristen is having two boys....99.9% sure. But I will not give up hope that she is wrong!!
Miss you...love you...stay well, would you?
